Overview:

You can add encryption plus multi-factor authentication protection to any file in order to maintain protection wherever the file goes including cloud and network storage and email.

Only users you authorize can decrypt the file using either the Cigent application or Cloud console. 

Encrypt a File:

From explorer, right click on the file and select View/Edit access with Cigent from the menu. 

Note: On Windows 11, you may need to click 'Show More Options' first.

Click Add User.

Choose yourself and others you want to have access to the file then click OK. 

Click Apply then Close. 

You will be prompted to enter your pin to authorize the encryption.

The file now has a .d3e in the name indicating it is encrypted with Cigent. 

To access the file, double click on it from Windows Explorer as normal. After authentication, the file will open normally using the default application.
